Assume each house has 2 cars, 347 houses here would have 700 to 800 cars, + visitor's vehicles is going to be more than that. Having only one entrance and exit would causing traffic jam in the taman at high traffic volumn time e.g. morning 6am to 9pm. So dont complain being late to school or office frequently People staying along Jalan 3/1 would have their nightmare on seeing cars all the time. Why not we try one day and see the result? i can see the most cars entering during peak hours like 6 ~ 9pm were 3 or 4 , closing one gate may be increase to 5 or 6?? may be have to conduct some trial .. ;D just my suggestion

Hi Guys, As per your request to increase the guard manpower, take note that each additional manpower resources will cost us around RM 2K. This means it will incur additional overall cost for us to pay the security company. We can only do that if the all resident continue to pay the monthly fees. Currently for the month of Jan 2011, only 50% paid compare to Dec 2010, where the percentage was 80%. You will be wondering why the percentage for Dec was higher than Jan.? This is base on assumption that people pay up for Dec 2010, just to get the car / bike stickers to avoid being stopped. They have to remember that these stickers will be replaced after Mar, 2011 and they still have to pay the outstanding payment before they get the new stickers. This is one of example of our resident’s attitude. If you station yourself at the guard post, you will see many more irresponsible residents who merry just care for themselves and create lots more issues and demanding special attention given to them, just because they are paying RM 50 (expect royal treatment given when drive through). We also have residents who are demanding to remember their car plate so the guard will let them go in without sticker till committee members provide the accounts listing on the expenditure. My opinion these residents are just looking for excuses for making the RM 50 payments. There are residents who refuse to stop at the back of the visitor’s who are being question by the guard before they are being stop on the yellow box next to guard post. They kept honking at guards and mocking before pass through the gate. There is many more case and if I list down here, it will be more than 3 pages. We need all the cooperation of the resident to cooperate on the collection and stop mock at the guards as they doing their jobs. Do give us your feedback as it is vital for us to improve the service. ;D Thanks.

Hi Ramesh, read and agreed with what you have to say.
However I wonder whether those residents that are causing those issues you mention are even reading this or getting the emails/notices/blog updates.
Can I suggest for a notice banner that could be place on the boom gate which will be the first thing drivers look at when wanting to enter. This way the guards (who may not be too good at communicating sometimes or language barrier reasons) do not have to struggle to explain anything. Have it in bahasa so most people will be able to understand. e.g. For residents:- "Dear resident, if you do not have a car sticker kindly purchase it at the guard house for only RM50/mth. Your cooperation is most appreciated to improve the standard of living of our community." For visitors:- "Dear visitor, kindly produce your ID and mention the house address you are visiting to gain entry." (ps: can someone translate the above to Bahasa?)

Personally I don't think it would be that bad. If it does cause too much congestion, we can always revert. Also I'd like to say that the committee is doing a swell job in my books, esp with regards to setting up the security etc. Keep up the good work!

It is not just the conggestion issue here.
Just be at the guard post B for 2 hours at peak hours, you can get the idea already.
The idea is to make residents easy on entry and exit, not to make more hassle for everybody, having security check in and out is near to military zone already.
At guardhouse B, if the traffic more than 3 cars, you can see how inpatient are the drivers at the back, honking and start shouting already. Some even drive into the main road blocking a lane, such act is very dangerous as it may cause an accident.
Residents should inform their visitors to get themself register before they enter to the taman, atleast, tell their destination house number and lane politely.

It is sad and very disappointing to note that only 50% paid up for Jan2011. This is a step backwards, looks like residents only paid up in Dec just to get the stickers. Come on la guys, this is not charity, this is our own security we are talking about. If the current committee is no good and cannot be trusted, then do you have the initiative to form your own? The current committee is doing all this using their own time and effort.
I also want to emphasise that paying RM50 is NOT for the stickers. Its for the security services.
As for those who honk or mock the guards, do you even know why they are there in the first place? If the guards dun check, they complain, if the guards check, also complain... Personally, if I am rushed in without verification (like the previous security) I will be more than unhappy. Bear in mind I return home during peak hours. The queue honestly makes my monthly payment worth it.
With that, I would want to reassure the Pro-Tem comm that the current security process is CORRECT. The meeting attended by the majority of residents in Nov10 totally supports this move. I hope for the sake of the community that the sample of people who create a fuss at checkpoints or refuse to pay are the minority.
I agree it also helps the traffic flow if we advise our visitors of the registering process. I have actually enquired it before, so can the Pro-Tem list down the procedure?
About traffic flow, just curious as to why it is that bad? All residents who have stickers will be let in automatically. Do we have that much visitors to our area?

Hi fellow neighbours, Yeap its been quite a challenging tasks for our pro-temp committee member to set this up and having people taking advantage on what we are doing kinda put us down. For those who support us, i would thank them so much. I think TTP REsidents's idea is a great one. yeap we should definitely do that.

I seriously felt envious on how the TTP 3 putting effort to keep their community worth living. I am from TTP2, the phase just next to you. There has yet been any committee being set up. We are already looking into this as well. However this is not easy eg. getting committed people. Bravo to those who volunteer their time for this in TTP3.

First of all, its good to hear from someone outside TTP3 for a change Yes, I am thankful for TTP3 taikos for their initiative, though its sad that not everyone in TTP3 appreciate the effort they have done, as can be seen above. What about TTP2 - are you all still under Bolton? How's the security service level? Previously when TTP3 under Bolton, I feel TTP2 security is better as i was stopped by the guard as I tried to enter your area. You might also want to start off your respective Phase punya thread, eg. TTP2 security thread and get yr area's people's view. Forums like this are useful - modern people now very busy, no time for meeting so meet in the internet easier. Good luck!

I totally agree with Ramesh. Non-paying residents are making it difficult for the committee members who are doing a great job on freewill.
It's difficult to make these people understand the consequences of not having security guards around. With break-ins, snatch thieves and kidnapping happening in Klang Valley, we should create awareness by showing them real videos; i.e. daylight robbery in Jalan Ipoh, etc. We have children in our neighbourhood and there are a lot of missing child cases which have not been solved. Think for the young ones and stop being ignorant.
A suggestion to the committee members, we can recruit volunteers staying in TP 3/1 to go house to house to collect the monthly fees. It's time for us to be thick skinned. Personally, it is more effective this way from my observation in Bangsar Lucky Garden. When someone is knocking at their doors, they have no reason to decline making the payment.

I think the committee already doing it by knocking their door...but result not so encouranging...
I would suggest we change the rules...
A) For those who pay up three months get the car sticker B) For those who pay up only one month, will get temporary colour card to be displayed on the dashboard and each month paid, the colour code to be changed.
More people will go for three months as no hassle as have to keep the colour card (can be made of colour card with plastic lamination) and get it displayed to enter to our taman. It is also compulsory to make them pay up every month as the colour code will be changed or with certain pattern to differentiate the month's identification.
To me i will prefer to go for three months (which i already did that at the first round) because eventually you still have to pay for what ever outstanding if you only pay for one month and do not pay for the remaining base on current system.
BTW, what is the status as to introduce the "Emblem" system for those who paid up three months? looks like we got to do somethings to show off to those who are not paying at all...
Regards

Thanks for all the replies regarding collection matters.
We did go round houses to houses to visit the residents, but due to time constrain and short of manpower, we are unable to do it efficiently.
I welcome anyone who are willing to come forward to help on collection matters, please contact me for further infomation @ 012 6015134 or email leechinsiang@hotmail.com.

Personal opinion, I dont think changing colour cards or stickers would make the residents paying regularly, that is just like forcing them to pay, we should make them aware of their role on keeping the community safe and happy to live in and be proud of being the member of TTP 3 (a very difficult task and hard to implement huh).
Persoanally, I have met all of the residents here, be it paying or not paying ones, what I can say is most of the people are generally nice and ok, but they are just not be initiative enough, or need to remind on keeping their payment on time.
Those very stubborn ones, they just want to give excuses, want people to treat them like VIPs or thought themself are more knowledgeable than anybody else. For that, I respect their views and opinions, but it didnt make us progress and be success on bringing the community up. I have spend more than an hour on listening to their opinions, suggestions and comments, but at the end, they still refuse to make the payment, I have get used to it.
Some just very comfortable being an armchair critic, do nothing but talking, for that, we must just be patient enough to listen to them or just ignore them.
We are dealing with humans, everyone has their own unique character, just keep our mind cool and be ready to face the challenges.
The committee needs constructive, reasonable comments and suggestions, even more needing the encouragement and support from all of the residents in the taman.
Lots of people mentioned about transperancy, how if we publish the list of the payee and non-payee at a notice board at the guardhouse? will it be offending someone?

First of all, thanks for the committees' effort. We apologize if there any inconvenience caused to the committee.
Personally, I think that the convenience might be one of the concern of most residents here besides of securities. Yes,we understand that the guards might need to perform their tasks, however honestly the guards' courtesy really needs to be improved.
Suggestion 1: For regular visitors, if that possible that the residents make a Special Authorized Pass (with written I/C no) as, so tht they can show it to the Guards without leaving their own I/C or Lesen? This may speed up their checking procedure.
Suggestion 2: For those who refuse to make mthly payment. Maybe we can put a "Reminder" signboard in front of the guard house so that everyone will know who is not co-operative.
Thank you.
with thx, MEI FUN

Personally, I would said thank you very much for pro-team committee. They were put a lot of effort for all TTP3 residents. By the way, I belief that our security guard need some improvement in checking stranger or visitor who enter our garden.
First of all, I were agreed to put 1 list of reminder who have outstanding payment in the guard house at A & B . Let others residents know & maybe able to get great collection. Just suggest no bad intention then.
Secondly, sincerely hope that guard may do like next garden. Any stranger or visitors without car stricker ,please request them to left their IC or license & guard give them a PASS to enter our garden. So many times, I enter to next garden. The guard there never fail sure request license from me. Hope & wish our guard may able to perform the same as well.
Thanks.
