Thanks for your feedback, Ramesh. Everything sounds good. Will look forward to the back lane patrol to be addressed. I also like to repeat that i hope the guards will not travel too fast on their bikes during patrol as their eyes are fixed on the road. Defeats the purpose as they should be looking at our houses for any suspicious activities. Lastly, about the hotline number, the 014 number on the stickers belongs to who? Hi, Base on your questions below : 1. At any shift, there will be 3 guards and each post will one each full time. The 3rd person will station at the busy post and during peak hours and he will perform the hourly rounds. 2. Answred in question 1. Regarding the back lane will be addressed soon after sorting out all the issues. 3. Even pedestrians are stopped and questions before they are allowed into our Taman. 4. We are only planning to take down their detail and allow them to go in without holding any documents for visitor but contractors need to provide their documents. 5. Yes, Boom gate for exit as well. Thanks. Finally the stickers were distributed yesterday! ;D Next, up, can I re-confirm the guard system? This is also for the benefit of those who did not attend the last meeting. 1) There would be 3 guards at each shift? How would they be distributed among the 2 guard houses? 2) Patrolling guards - How often? Every hour? Also, I noticed they were on bikes and travelling quite fast, not actually slowing down and checking our houses. Besides the main roads, will they be patrolling the back lanes as well? I think this is equally important. 3) Cars and motorbikes without stickers will be stopped and questioned at the guard house - good! How about pedestrians? 4) Whats the procedure like now for guests/visitors? They hand over their ICs in exchange for Visitor's Pass? 5) Will vehicles/pedestrians exiting be scrutinised as well? Boom gate for exits also? Thanks for your time.

Hi,
We had discussion with Security Company yesterday to discuss about the issue that has been raised here and over SMS. We also have addressed the issue on the bike patrolling issues as well.
The numbers on the stickers are belonging to the security company.
Also for your information, only 16% of the total resident has not paid the security fees and we will be going to their home to collect the fees if they are still stubborn to pay the security fees. They have been stopped and question everyday but they are giving excuse such as they are shifting shortly and etc. We already expected such things will happen and already have the plan to overcome it.
Thanks.

Guards aside, we as residents are also responsible in watching over our own and surrounding areas and suspicious activities should be reported. 84% is really a respectable figure especially given the short time frame into the transition! Congratulations, and it is also encouraging to see all residents co-operating. This is a good sign that the community is well-knit, thus strong.

Thats why i suggested that there is a line that we can call directly to the Guard House itself. Not only it will reach the guard on duty but also quicken the response time if there are any cases of emergency. This one boleh? Pr1 L4ker has 014 on his sticker. I have a 010. Why different? I remember at the residents dialogue, Dave the Inland Security rep said that that there will be a no. on sticker of his supervisor on duty. So which is correct, is it the company no. or the supervisor on duty? As for a direct line to the guard, I have emailed Dave but so far no response, maybe because I'm not a Comm member so he chose to ignore. can someone in the Comm please bring this up with Dave. cheers.

Nice move on the spotlights but do you think can adjust the beam a bit lower? The light blinds my eyes and when the guard raise his arm, I also dunno whether he is waving at me or showing me the finger.

Hi Guys, I think the guard is waving us all including those without stickers in as he is also blinded by our car head lights unless he is wearing dark glasses, not at night! or has superb eye sight. So actually he must stop all and take a closer look before waving on. In this way he can catch the freeloaders, make them come down and register each time. PS. I've changed my profile name fr onhock to ong1057. Cheers.

Adding on to onhock's feedback, I hope dun mind me adding his original post on this matter : - Hi Protem Comm guys, you have my full support. Just wish to give my observations. Observations are:- 1. Yesterday my daughter came in abt 12 noon. 2. Today my friend came in abt 8 pm. Both from another taman so no sticker. They were not stopped by guards. I hope these are not indicative of the suggestions in the previous post that guards already feel intimidated, slack or tired. Its from the 'Payment' thread, but I think better discuss here coz its 'Security' issue. This is a good post as we have actual feedback on our new guards' performance. Two cases in a short time span cannot be considered a coincidence or one-off case. I trust the Pro-Tem comm will investigate on this ASAP. Since I am on this topic, I noticed that the exit boom gate is always up. I suggest it should also be closed and vehicles verified again before exiting. This acts like a second layer security and further deterrent. What do the rest think?

BTW, who actually paying for the electricity/water of the guard post? the spot lights might consume high energy thus the bills could be very high..just my thought
