Hi Edwin,
I would like to join the 'walking our talk'. Just suggest the date (Not this weekend) and we will do it but need to be done before 1st August, 2008 as this will be the last date for all cars without stickers. Anyone else would like join the walk as well?
Name Suggested Date & Time H/P No.
1. Ramesh 26/7/2008 & 5:00pm onwards 012-2221552
P/S: Me running for the State Assemblyman will out of the picture as I am not interested in politics at all ;D. I am just another concern resident just like any one of you. Infact not even interested in the President post for the resident committee but we need people like you to stand and support and be part of the committee.
Regards,
Ramesh Ramoo,

Hey all,
First thing I want to highlight is; about half of the total emails we send out are bouncing back! Which only means such a small handful of people are aware of the discussions and awareness we are trying to bring about. Thus all the more I feel the need for more obvious notices/awareness/information, the blog or email is just not enough though we can still keep to emails to continue important discussions with interested parties.
Secondly, I understand the concerns of Dr Harjeet and Sean; but that's where first of all we responsible residents have to practise the "walking our talk" and make the first move. Only after we have carried out our responsibilities and part can we only push to see and make others do the same and not before. Let's lead by example.
At the end of the day; even after we have toiled and tried our best but still failed; at least we were a bunch though a small bunch of people who stood up for what is right and carried out our responsibilities as responsible residents & citizens. I will fail in peace knowing "at least I tried".
I have a suggestion; knowing that most people are quite 'kiasu' (even I am sometimes) that they respond only when they get back in-return some kinda reward immediately; how bout some kind of reward programme for paying their security fees? Some vouchers? Some packages? Something worth-while. Maybe we can work with the management on this?
Lastly, great work on the Notice Ramesh! Especially thanks for continuing the battle for the benefit of everyone else when most of the time it seems like a 1 man show.
Ever thought of running for State Assemblyman? = ) Maybe then people wont say "Who is Ramesh??" anymore...........
regards,
Edwin

Hi Dr Harjeet,
I agree totally with you. I know this is the chicken and egg thing. But even with one guard, he should be working as he should. The guards
should be checking for the vehicles entering our Taman, not just a gate-opener. We should be paying security fees for Security Guards, not gate-openers... even other gate-openers too would do minimal checking.
All my frens and family laugh at our the attitude of our guards. There's no need to stop at the guards, the guards don't stop them. Just show the hand and drive through.
How can we be sure that the quality will improve when everyone has paid up? What are the penalties/actions if the everyone has paid up, and the guards are still like they are today, even with more people? Will it just mean more sleepers or gate-openers?
I see even a low-cost flat has guards that will stop walk-in visitors. Why is ours free-flow? Is the money we pay for security just taken by the developer for their own use, and a little portion of that is for the pension fund of these gate-openers?

A doctor friend who wanted to view a house for rental just waltz thru and was chuckling at our security. My cousin came to switch on my house lights when I was not at home without being stopped, that too with me telling him that he would and would have to sign a book

Hi All,
I totally agree with Edwin on the below. I hope others will come forward to feedback on the below or have any other suggestions?
Our last awareness program, I have printed the attached note of 500 copies and pass it on the guard to distribute and I am not sure the word has gone out.
Thanks.

Ramesh Ramoo,

Subject: Taman Tasik Prima, Puchong - Idean & suggestion
Hey residents of Taman Tasik Puchong Prima,
I was at the area of Kota Kemuning few days back visiting a friend who lives in a Taman in Kota Kemuning which had excellent security services. Just for your info, this is not the area of the million dollar houses. Something caught my attention and I took a picture of it. Please see picture attached.
I totally agree with what was written on the banner"-
- The neighbourhood enjoys valued security, the guards have to be paid
Good security:-
a) Enhances your property (sure does in this area!! from new price at RM350K-400K now going at half a mil & above! )
b) Allows you peace of mind (oh definitely man, the news the other day that 1 of my neighbors homes got broken into only caused me to be extra paranoid)
c) Is a watchful eye over your property and family (no comments needed)
May I suggest for the same kind of banner to be done and place at the frontage of our taman entrance? I or probably even Ramesh could get it done ourself but not first without getting some kinda positive response or a show of support (not just mere words), maybe some kind of small cash contribution? Any designers to offer their services in designing? any printers or know of any in this taman? anybody to offer to put it up?
So I'm not just talking all this without walking it, I have paid my security fees and all my cars has the stickers. So can we all walk the walk and talk the talk?
(not to be negative or mean but...) If every time our discussions falls on death ears I guess we just have to allow maybe a few more break ins? someone getting kidnapped? more crimes to happen to shake and wake some people up to realise how important the security is needed in this area.
