Anyone has received the bill for Cukai Tanah 2007?
I was told by developer that we at Phase 1C have to pay the Quit Rent this year by ourselves, but so far I haven't received any bill from the land office yet.
My lawyer requires me to have the quit rent receipt in order to process the so call "Consent to Charge".

Hi Foong, Please check at your old address. Normally they will send to the old address. Or you can go directly to land office located next to old Wisma Tractor (At the end of Subang Parade). By the way I haven't got mine yet too. Thanks.

I have paid my Cukai Tanah at the land office in Subang Jaya, and discovered that all our land title is still under the name of PNHD addressed to their Shah Alam office.
As such, you have 2 ways to get the bill, which is RM50 per annum.
1. Get from PNHD. Your bill is with them. 2. Get your HS(D) and PT numbers from your lawyer/bank, go to the land office and ask for bill reprint. Then you can also settle the bill straight away.

I have not got mine too. My wife has been calling the cukai tanah office, but no 1 pick up the phone. Well, the usual "excellent" service. Not surprise . So, I guess I'll have to drop by the Cukai Tanah office one of the day. Thank you Foong for the info.

Hi there,
I have paid my cukai tanah and called the lawyers about the consent to charge as mentioned in PNHD's letter. To my surprise and of course, annoyance, the lawyers faxed me another 3 bills totaling about RM2,000 and asked me to bring along the payment when i meet them next week to sign the necessary documents. I thought we are entitled to free legal fees on SPA and loan documents and they have already whacked us one round before (at the beginning)?
Has anyone gone to the lawyer's office to sign and/or paid them already? Anyone managed to get any discount?
Perhaps we could join and ask for discount! Any one?

You mean after we have paid our cukai tanah, there will be more legal bills? i paid my cukai tanah earlier this month but have not called the lawyers. I still have an outstanding RM1600 (consent to charge) bill from them. On top of that there is the outstanding bill from PNHD for the security charges. nuts! Not calling any lawyers soon.

My bank loan laywer did charge me a few hundred to process the Consent to Charge, not to the extend of 2k.
