My home having a very bad Streamyx broadband connection just yesterday morning. I am wondering what is the problem. Anyone have this problem in our area? First I thought is my ADSL modem problem, but I check the light is fine. My ADSL Modem is connected, but I couldn't browse, all page error. Called up the technical support. Many things has test. Disable Firewall, Anti-virus and spyware. Still can't solve it. Thought is my Windows XP problem. I formated my computer and make a fresh install Windows XP. Still can't connect to the internet. Then, I bring my ADSL modem to my brother house (Subang Jaya) and try. Once plug everythings goes fine. No problem with my modem. Sigh! Then I exchange the ADSL modem with my brother and go back and test again. Still the same... Its really makes me headache... Really don know whats going on... If I call the technical ppl to come and check they will charge me RM80 just for the service to come... Hope can get help from you guys Regards, Chan

Same problem here. Very likely problem at their system after the heavy rain on Tuesday. Made the call this morning.

Seems OK to me, probably the problem was fixed already.
Sometimes when the connection was bad, I noticed that the data rate was above 10k and our ADSL modem might not function well above 8k. Now I got 6k.

I see...
Connection is fine now...
I asked one of my friend staying in Puchong, Kinrara. Said that Puchong area, once the lightning strike, will have this problem frequently.
Just not understand and wondering that why Subang Jaya and USJ area doesn't have such a problems...
Thanks guys!

Hi All,
Most of the residence in our area have the same problem but Telekom refuse to accept the fact that their server or connection. They seam to blame on the residence instead. Mine was fixed after the Telekom service engineer came over and created a new connection and changing some of TCIP setting. Thanks.

Hi Chan,
I need to check the setting as the setting been done on my home PC. Will let you know later. As for the charges, they didn't mention anything so I am not sure if there will be any charges and if there is then I need to make some noise to Telekom as the problem is on their side. You should raise your concerns to TM about the RM88 as you already proved the ADSL Modem is working. Thanks.

Yes, TMNet line was not stable and very slow on Monday, same thing happened to the lease line of my office in Cyberjaya.
It was normal again by yesterday...
You can call TMNet call center at 1300-88-9515 FOC, but they always asked you to unplug this unplug that, reboot PC... don't bother about that instructions, pretty useless, just insist the guy to log a report for you.

Hi All, Next time you guys have problem with Streamyx, you can call Mr. Das who is our resident as well. His number is 019-6003094. There will be min charges of RM50. He has fixed mine today and it's working fine after TM couldn't fix the problem. TM told me that my router have problem but Mr.Das checked and found no issue. It was just the setting they have to do on my router and TM service guys couldn't solve the problem . Thanks.
